Doon Express Derailment

5 bogies of Doon Extess derailed in Jaunpur? The train was going from Howrah to Dehradun?
According to railway officials. Coach number, 14, 15 and 16 derailed, and four coaches i.e. 11, 12, 13 and 14 have capsized.

Mega block timings | Sunday, 27th May

Between Kalyan and Thane: All Up Slow / semi fast trains leaving Kalyan from 10.25 am to 3.43 pm will be diverted o­n Up fast line between Kalyan and Mulund stations.  Up slow trains will not halt at Thakurli, Kopar, Diva, Mumbra, Kalwa stations.

Commuters can reach these stations via Dombivli and Thane stations in Down direction o­n their valid card/season tickets during the block period.

Between Kurla and CST: All Up Harbour line services for CST leaving Kurla from 10.43 am to 3.48 pm will run via main line o­n Up fast line upto Byculla and o­n Up slow line between Byculla and CST. These trains will not halt at Currey Road and Chinchpokli stations.

Between AndheriOn/Bandra and CST: All down Harbour line services for Bandra/Andheri leaving CST from 10.20 am to 4.04 pm and all Up harbour line services leaving Bandra/Andheri for CST from 10.40 am to 3.45 pm will remain suspended.

Harbour line passengers for Bandra/Andheri are permitted to travel via main line and Western Railway o­n their valid card/season tickets from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm o­n 27th May.

Between Santacruz and Goregaon:                                                                                                                  
Five hours jumbo block is scheduled between Santacruz and Goregaon from 11 am to 4 pm.

During the block period, all Up & Down local line trains will run on through (i.e. fast) lines between Santacruz and Goregaon stations. All Up and Down 12 car slow trains will take double halt at Vile Parle PF 3/4 on the fast lines. Due to the block, some trains will remain cancelled.

Bangalore bound Hampi Express collided with a stationary goods train at Andhra Pradesh's Penneconda station (Anantpur District) at around 3.15 am on May 22, 2012.

As per the current news, 15 people are reported dead while many are injured. Rescue operations have begun.

Coaches affected:
1 SLR and two second class coaches were derailed. One of the coaches caught fire due to short circuit.

Accident in Harbour Line; Local Train Services Affected

8.30 pm update: Harbour line trains suspended between Kurla - Panvel. Kurla station is very crowded right now.

A crane fell on a train near Mankhurd.

CENTRAL LINE

Thane-Kalyan: Down line fast trains leaving CST station from 10.03 am to 1.40 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations also. After Thane station, these trains will run on the slow line up to Kalyan and halt at all stations in between.



HARBOUR LINE

CST - Panvel / Belapur / Vashi: Down Harbour line services to Panvel / Belapur / Vashi leaving CST from 10.23 am to 3.37 pm and Up Harbour line services towards CST leaving Panvel / Belapur / Vashi from 10.20 am to 3.27 pm will remain suspended.

Kurla and Mankhurd: Up & Down Harbour line services will remain suspended between Kurla and Mankhurd. However special trains will run o­n Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus - Kurla and Mankhurd - Panvel  sections during the block period.

Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main line and Thane - Nerul / Vashi from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm o­n 20.5.2012.

WESTERN LINE

Borivali and Goregaon: There will be a 5-hour jumbo block between Borivali and Goregaon stations from 11 am to 4 pm during which all Up and Down slow trains will run o­n fast track between Borivali and Goregaon. During the block period trains will run from Platform Nos. 3/4/5/6/6A at Borivali and some trains will remain cancelled.

Mega Block Timings on 13th May, 2012

Matunga and Mulund: Fast trains leaving CST from 10.28 am to 3.25 pm will run on the slow line between Matunga and Mulund stations and will halt at all stations in between. Fast trains beyond Thane will run on the fast track after Mulund station.

Harbour line trains from Panvel / Belapur / Vashi for CST will run on Central Main Fast Line from Kurla station to CST from 10.43 am to 3.48 pm. These trains will not halt at Currey Road and Chinchpokli stations.

Harbour line train services will remain suspended as follows:
Mega block from CST to Bandra / Andheri: 10.20 am to 4.04 pm

Slow trains will run on fast track between Churchgate and Mumbai Central from 11 am to 4 pm. Some trains will remain cancelled.

Mumbai-Ferozpur Punjab Mail derails near Rohtak

8 coaches of Mumbai-Ferozpur Punjab Mail derailed near Rohtak at around 3.30 am on May 6, 2012. At the time of this post, 25 people were reported injured.

The derailed coaches are:
S5, S6, S7, S8, S9, S10 and the guard-cum-luggage van.

The train later resumed the journey and reached Delhi after 8 am.

Overhead wire problem again

Overhead wires snapped between Vashi and Mankhurd around 9 am today resulting in disruption of local train services. Some trains were running slow, some were diverted and others were delayed by over 15 minutes. Services resumed in an hour
